ENCHANTED BRIDES ~ SPRING / SUMMER 2014
63
tree we displayed an array
of mini potted succulents
wrapped in burlap with the
escort cards tied to each pot.
The succulents also served
as an elegant favor for guests
to take home and a symbol
of growing love between the
couple. For an added visual
we placed the escort card
table in front of an accent wall
made of stone tiles that helped
to add depth and texture.
The centerpieces for the
reception tables were care-
fully designed with the previ-
ous elements in mind. The
color of each flower was hand
picked and selected based
on how it would reflect and
compliment the design and
Deanndria's original color se-
lection. Therefore, we chose
dusty millers, white orchids,
succulents, silver brunias and
seeded eucalyptus. We then
chose two designs for the
centerpieces. The first was a
lower centerpiece that incor-
porated driftwood, orchids
and succulents that inter-
twined together to give a very
natural feel. Then we com-
bined the lower centerpiece
with glass cylinders of floating
candles and votive candles
to add a romantic touch. The
table was draped in a metallic
grayed jade linen with a touch
of shimmer that gave the table
elegance. The second center-
piece design was a tall Man-
zanita tree with white orchids,
succulents and moss at the
bottom that played nicely with
the natural color of the tree's
branches.
The menu cards were
a unique touch. They were
wrapped around each napkin,
which added to the overall de-
sign of each table.
The wedding cake was
designed with the first layer
in the grayed color in fon-
dant, to add a touch of color,
and a touch of white lace on
the bottom. The inverse was
designed on the top layer.
Finally, a romantic display of
coral and white garden roses
cascaded down the cake.
Overall, the design was
breathtaking and memorable
to all the guests. Not only
did each element, from the
aisle, altar, escort cards, cen-
terpieces, bridal bouquet,
menus and wedding cake
complement each other, but
they also complemented the
venue and the couple as well.
When designing your wed-
ding with this styled trend of
organic elegance or another
styled trend keep in mind all
the details of the wedding day
and make sure they are all
accomplishing the overall de-
sign you have in mind. Achiev-
ing cohesive design elements
throughout the wedding will
leave a big impact on your
guest and an elegance that
will be remembered.
