ENCHANTED BRIDES ~ SPRING / SUMMER 2014
9
stations and a rockin' band to dance the night away to. Every-
one was up dancing all night long and continued the party after-
wards at Key West favorite Sloppy Joe's. The couple like to say
that the "rest was a blur!"
Although the skies were cloudy and rain trickled through-
out the wedding day, the couple had an unexpected moment of
beauty at the perfect time. When the ceremony was to begin, the
clouds subsided and the weather was absolutely perfect. They
even got to experience the sunset over the ocean that allowed
for some memorable photos! The skies opened up again with
a downpour while everyone was inside enjoying the delicious
food. It could not have happened at a better time.
As the couple said, "Perfectly timed and in the spirit of the
old adage that rain on your wedding day is good luck no one
ever knew!"
Looking back, the couple agrees that having their family and
friends in attendance was the best part. "We were lucky to have
an overwhelming outpouring of support from friends and family,
most traveling from the Northeast." Jack's grandmother was able
to attend and Melissa's grandmother was nearby in spirit as she
wore her grandmother's ring.
The moment Melissa walked down the aisle, the couple knew
they had both found the one. Jack called that moment "glorious"
as Melissa stated she finally "knew where she belonged." Rev-
erend Steve Torrence put it perfectly: "Breathe and take it all in."
