"Next thing I knew, Allan was down on one knee!"
Dana jokes that Allan always said if he proposed to her with
Louboutins, she could never say no!
With the proposal, Dana was able to pick out her something
blue and the couple posted a beautiful Instagram photo to an-
nounce their engagement to friends and family with her ring
in the shoe with the hashtag #somethingblue&somethingnew.
How chic!
The couple decided they really wanted a romantic and inti-
mate wedding and therefore, surprised their friends and family
with a destination wedding. Guests thought they were flying to
Miami to celebrate Dana's Bachelorette party but to their sur-
prise, Sunday brought a secret wedding celebration as well!
"The weekend would be about fun and surrounded by peo-
ple that were all there to celebrate with us!"
The W Hotel was decorated with beautiful and romantic de-
tails from all white flowers to candelabras and twinkle lights.
Guests dined on delicious food such as tuna tartare and miso
glazed black cod all while sitting among the beautiful palm trees.
Luckily for Dana, Allan did the majority of the planning. Dana
had the vision and Allan made it come to life, something that
Dana is very grateful for. In reflecting back on their day, Dana
remembers how much love they were surrounded by.
"I was happy seeing how happy he was. Having him confirm
that he couldn't have dreamed up a better wedding and way to
celebrate really touched me. And seeing some of Allan's friends
tearing up while I walked down the aisle...I couldn't look at them
during the ceremony for fear that I would start to cry!"
And for Allan, "She looked beautiful. I couldn't be happier
about how the weekend turned out. We agreed it really felt like
us."
We are really happy the shoe fits for these two. May you
spend a lifetime full of happiness together!
