ENCHANTED BRIDES ~ WINTER / SPRING 2015
19
hike, they decided to take one more walk after dinner. That was
when Kyle got down on one knee and asked Ashley,
"Willing to make our little family official? What are you doing
for the next 50 or 60 years? Will you marry me?"
She of course said yes!
The couple knew they wanted to keep the ceremony rela-
tively simple and let their love take center stage. Overlooking
the Country Music Hall of Fame and Schermerhorn Symphony
Center, the couple was surrounded by pops of white, gold, pur-
ple, and red.
An important aspect of Ashley and Kyle's ceremony was the
foot washing that took place to symbolize their commitment to
each other and their religion. After looking back on this moment,
the couple felt "very blessed and so relieved to be in this mo-
ment together. We made an effort to absorb it all."
For their reception, there were personal touches throughout
the space. With an October wedding, they had to include a cider
bar! The reception space was decorated in ivory, purple, and
gold. The bride loved her gold sequined overlay for the sweet-
heart table!
"It was beautifully simple."
It was clear during Ashley and Kyle's special day that being
surrounded by family and loved ones while marrying each other
was the most special aspect of the big day.
"Truthfully, absorbing the day and knowing that the two of us
made all the decisions jointly on how to celebrate our union was
incredibly priceless. We enjoyed seeing friends, family, and co-
workers who took time to celebrate with us!"
Although Ashley and Kyle admit that the day seemed to slip
by them, they truly enjoyed celebrating their marriage together,
taking time to talk to guests.
Looking back on their day, the couple laughs at when Kyle
first laid eyes on Ashley in her wedding gown:
"When I turned to see Ashley, all the emotions of anticipation
rushed out. I was speechless! The only thing that went through
my mind was how beautiful Ashley was and how excited I was to
get the wedding underway."
And for Ashley? "It was the most beautiful I've ever felt in my
entire life."
Cheers to many years of adventures and bliss!
In loving memory of Momma Stone.
