going on in the city of Nashville right now, anyway."
The couple chose Nashville staple, Belle Meade Plantation,
as it was the perfect size for their intimate destination wedding.
They kept the outside very true to form wanting to encompass
the plantation and horse farm history of the venue.
The low lighting of the ceremony provided the perfect "per-
formance" feel the couple was looking for. When describing the
first time they saw each other on the big day Blake remembers,
"When I finally saw [the dress] I thought she looked like an an-
gel. I have always told her I thought she was my guardian angel,
and now everyone could see her true colors."
As for Leslie, "After the doors opened and I finally saw him, I
felt completely calm."
After their "I Dos", guests were ushered inside to the recep-
tion. With the design help of their planner, Angela Proffitt, the
couple transformed the reception space into a ballroom fit for
the splash of NYC they wanted. Leslie loved collaborating with
Leslie
and Blake got married in their perfect mix of
rustic and elegance at the always-stunning Belle Meade Planta-
tion. After fate essentially brought them together at a local bar in
Dallas, this fun couple knew they would spend forever together.
When Blake decided it was time to ask Leslie to be his wife,
he planned the most romantic proposal. Three deliveries of ros-
es delivered to Leslie's work at each hour of the morning led to a
surprise trip at the spa complete with a mani-pedi. When Leslie
returned home, a display of rose petals lined the entry to the
doorway and made a heart in the foyer.
Blake queued up Leslie's favorite band and proposed in the
center of the roses. And of course the event was topped off with
chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of Dom Perignon.
When it came time to plan their wedding, the couple knew
they wanted to have it in a city they both loved, so they chose
Nashville! "We liked the idea of taking something rustic and
country and making it very classic. That is kind of the genesis
