ENCHANTED BRIDES ~ FALL 2013 / WINTER 2014
When
Beth Cohen went to grab a
glass of wine and enjoy a book one evening at
a restaurant, she had no intentions of meeting
her soulmate. Jack Schunke happened to be
dining with his sons at that very moment. "I was
intrigued by the way Jack interacted with his chil-
dren in such a warm and loving way," she says.
Beth, too, had a daughter, and couldn't help but
notice the connection Jack had with his children.
"It was pretty much love at first sight," she says.
Not wanting to disturb his evening, she gave the
maître d' her number and asked that he give it to
Jack. After that first call, they have been together
ever since.
Ten years later, Beth and Jack decided they
were both ready to get married. "We were used
to doing everything together, so why not this?"
Beth says. The couple picked out the ring togeth-
er and began planning their March wedding on
Little Palm Island.
"The most special thing about the entire day
besides getting married, of course was Little
Palm Island itself," says the bride. "The place is
magical and creates the perfect backdrop for a
fairytale dream wedding."
The bride carried an interesting cluster of
white garden roses, casablanca lilies, green
cymbidium orchids, and accents of green hyper-
icum berries with a burlap and crystal cuff wrap.
Her maid of honor held a bouquet of lime green
orchids with a wrapped leaf collar wrapped in
burlap and raffia. The groom's boutonniere was
a single mini green cymbidium orchid with leaf
accents.
For the ceremony, guests were seated in
beautiful bamboo chairs that led up to a stun-
ning bamboo chuppah with a white fabric top
